Measurement of Γ ( K S → π + π − ( γ ) ) / Γ ( K S → π 0 π 0 )
We have measured the ratio R S = Γ(KS → π π(γ))/Γ(KS → π π) with the KLOE detector at the DAΦNE ee collider. This measurement is fully inclusive with respect to the ππγ final state. The sample of over 10 two-pion decays of tagged KS mesons allows a statistical error as low as ∼ 0.1% to be obtained. The accuracy is limited by systematic uncertainties, which are estimated primarily from data. We ...
متن کاملSearch for direct CP violating charge asymmetries in K ± → π ± π + π − and K ± → π ± π 0 π 0 decays
A measurement of the direct CP violating charge asymmetries of the Dalitz plot linear slopes Ag = (g + − g)/(g + g) in K → πππ and K → πππ decays by the NA48/2 experiment at CERN SPS is presented. A new technique of asymmetry measurement involving simultaneous K and K beams and a large data sample collected allowed a result of an unprecedented precision. The charge asymmetries were measured to ...
متن کاملObservation of π^{-}K^{+} and π^{+}K^{-} Atoms.
The observation of hydrogenlike πK atoms, consisting of π^{-}K^{+} or π^{+}K^{-} mesons, is presented. The atoms are produced by 24 GeV/c protons from the CERN PS accelerator, interacting with platinum or nickel foil targets. The breakup (ionization) of πK atoms in the same targets yields characteristic πK pairs, called "atomic pairs," with small relative momenta Q in the pair center-of-mass s...
متن کاملStudy of the D 0 → K + K − π + π − decay
Using data from the FOCUS (E831) experiment at Fermilab, we present a new measurement for the Cabibbo-suppressed decay modeD0 → K+K−π+π−. We measure: Γ(D0 → K+K−π+π−)/Γ(D0 → K−π−π+π+) = 0.0295 ± 0.0011 ± 0.0008 . An amplitude analysis has been performed in order to determine the resonant substructure of this decay mode. The dominant components are the decays D0 → K1(1270) +K−, D0 → K1(1400) +K−...
